How Letheca Works
Letheca is an anonymous, ephemeral board. It is intentionally simple: say something, let it pass, and leave no profile behind.
The Core Rules
- No account required.
- No usernames or profiles.
- Every post expires exactly 24 hours after it is submitted.
- Echoes are signals of resonance, not social status.
The 24-Hour Clock
Each post has a hard expiration time. Activity does not reset it. A message can gather attention, echoes, and meaning, but it still disappears on schedule.
Ghost Traces
Ghost Traces are the only permanent part of Letheca. If a message resonates enough before expiration, one sentence is preserved as a trace in the archive.
Context fades. Identity is absent. What remains is a single line that earned permanence.
Why This Design Exists
Most platforms optimize for permanent identity and long memory. Letheca does the opposite. Forgetting is the default. Permanence is rare and earned.
